Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 29, 2026

1. Our Approach to Privacy

ImageFixer is built on a simple principle: your images should never leave your device. All conversion, optimization, and resizing happens entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly. We do not have servers that receive, store, or process your images. This policy explains what limited data we do collect and how we handle it.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Because all image processing runs locally in your browser, we never receive copies of your photos, screenshots, or any file you process through ImageFixer. Specifically, we do not collect:

  • The images or files you upload to the converter.
  • Image metadata (EXIF, GPS coordinates, camera information).
  • The output files produced by the conversion process.
  • Account information — ImageFixer does not require an account.

3. Information We Do Collect

We collect only the limited data necessary to operate the website and improve the service:

  • Anonymous usage analytics — page views, browser type, approximate region, referrer URL, and aggregated feature-use counts.
  • Server logs — standard web request logs from our hosting provider (Vercel), including IP address and user agent, retained briefly for security and abuse prevention.
  • Pro purchase records — if you purchase Pro, our payment processor records your email and billing information. We do not see or store full card numbers.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

ImageFixer uses your browser's local storage to remember your preferences (such as Pro entitlement) between visits. We use a small number of essential cookies for site functionality. Third-party services described below may set their own cookies.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we present a consent banner powered by Google's certified consent management platform before any advertising or non-essential cookies are set. You can change your consent choices at any time by clicking the "Privacy options" link that appears in the banner, or by clearing your browser's site data for ImageFixer.

5. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third parties to operate ImageFixer. Each has its own privacy policy that governs how it handles data:

  • Google AdSense — serves advertisements on free pages. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to personalize ads. See section 6 for details.
  • Vercel — hosts the website and serves it from a global CDN.
  • Lemon Squeezy — processes Pro subscription payments. Card details are handled exclusively by Lemon Squeezy and their payment partners.

6. Advertising and Google AdSense

ImageFixer displays advertisements served by Google AdSense to support free use of the tool. As a third-party vendor, Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to ImageFixer and/or other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

ImageFixer Pro users do not see ads, and no advertising cookies are loaded on their sessions.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws such as the GDPR (European Economic Area) or the CCPA (California). These rights typically include:

  • The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
  • The right to request correction or deletion of that data.
  • The right to opt out of personalized advertising.
  • The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Because ImageFixer holds very little personal data — primarily Pro purchase records — most requests can be resolved quickly by emailing us.

8. Children's Privacy

ImageFixer is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Data Retention

Server logs are typically retained for up to 30 days. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form. Pro purchase records are retained as required by tax and accounting regulations.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the site for a reasonable period.
